The Caribbean Poultry Association (CPA) is the only association that is the regional representative of the poultry producers in the CARICOM Region. This region, located in the Caribbean Sea, is bounded in the north by the United States of America, in the south by South America, in the west by Central America and in the east by the Atlantic Ocean. The region consists of the following fifteen member states:

Antigua/Barbuda, The Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Dominica, Grenada, Guyana, Haiti, Jamaica, Montserrat, St. Lucia, St. Kitts & Nevis, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Suriname and Trinidad & Tobago. Associate Members are Anguilla, Bermuda, British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands and Turks & Caicos Islands. Belize is in Central America while Guyana and Suriname are in South America.

The CPA is a fully private sector association, funded and owned by its members who are poultry producers and/or livestock feed producers around the region. As the regional representative of the poultry producers, the CPA promotes the interests of the industry to ensure sustainability, growth and further development. In the Caribbean Region, the poultry industry is a significant sub-sector of agribusiness being the largest component of agribusiness in many Member States of CARICOM. The industry supplies more high-quality competitively-priced animal protein to Caribbean consumers and visitors to our shores than the other livestock sub-sectors put together. In some CARICOM Member States, the poultry sector supplies more than 80% of animal protein.

The industry contributes much of the agricultural GDP and Food Security. It is also a major contributor to socio-economic development especially in the rural sector. This website is one of our attempts to Tell Our Story, a story that has long been peripheral to or suppressed by stories from other sectors.While part of the website is restricted to CPA Members, we have tried to make most of the website available to our many stakeholders and customers.
