Information on the Global Poultry Industry and its Policy Environment is very difficult to come by. There are few databases which keep current information on the status of national policies, especially as many countries, especially developing countries, are not up to date on their notifications to the WTO of policy measures.

Moreover the policy framework, especially trade policy, changes continually as WTO member states adjust their policies (1) in keeping with their WTO commitments, for example to reduce tariffs or domestic support, and (2) in response to the challenges of the dynamic liberalisation process.

As much as possible, the sources of information are listed on the Industry and Trade Links Section of this website.

The information presented here represents the best efforts of the Caribbean Poultry Association, within its resources, to provide a balanced view of the global industry, which is otherwise not available to tour stakeholders.
